I think the paradigm shift I would most like to see change in sequels is the whole "Bigger is Better" approach. If audiences liked one villain, than they'll go wild for twenty in the next film. If the story calls for it, then by all means, through in a trio of dastardly neer-do-wells, but don't just do it to create…
An international team of super spies embark on an impossible mission to discover the secrets hidden deep within a, supposedly, dormant volcano. What they discover will change the course of human history. Spoilers! There are aliens involved.... & they're from the future!
My friends & I were talking about this at IHoP, after having gone to see the movie, "Drive". If they were ever going to reboot The Rocketeer movie, Ron Perlman would be perfect in the role of Lothar, originally played by Tiny Ron, in Rondo Hatton make up. I'm thinking Perlman wouldn't need the make-up.... for a change.
Ron Perlman has the perfect face to play a Dick Tracy villain. Make it happen. That is all.
I never even gave it a second glance, or considered for one moment the notion of adding it to my collection. It's unfortunate that I've come to a point in my comics buying history that the name "Frank Miller" on the cover just brings up feelings of apathy within me. At least I'm still able to muster up some excitement…
Still the best, 30 years later.
A Scarecrow appearance could make sense if it turns out that Bane's Venom is derived from the same plant from which Scarecrow manufactures his fear gas. I've read speculation that Bane might be part of the League of Shadows. If true, a connection back to The Scarecrow would not be out of the question.
Jae Lee. He did all the covers & interior art for that Inhumans mini-series.
Sean Bean has a pretty awesome death in just about everything he does.
I blame the enormous success of Burton's Batman film for all the rubber costumes comic book film heroes were forced to wear. Sure, the costume material is the least of this film's problems, but it didn't help.
I've been on the fence about I, Vampire from the get-go. I keep hearing good things about it, but, I just don't know. I'm going to have to look at the art work. Could be a deal breaker.
Hey kids... Read our comics! Except for the ones that aren't meant for you... which is all of them!
Ed Gein would be proud.
There was nothing explicitly stated that contradicts the notion that the pilgrimages, post Sixth, weren't seeded with seditionists. Placing spies within Terra Nova would be strategically sensible, & clearly someone is feeding information back to the "Sixers". Having all your potential antagonists declare themselves…
I'm going to give Terra Nova an honest shot. I figure I owe Mr. Spielberg at least that much for gifting me with Jaws, Raiders of The Lost Arc, Jurassic Park & Munich. You've built up some good will, Mr. Spielberg, but it won't carry you forever. If this turns out to be a dog of a show, I won't stick with it.
There's something to be said for consistency.
Those aren't cat ears. That's just those funky shades, worn in the motorcycle pictures, pushed up onto her head.
I came into the X-Files kind of late. Not really sure what season or which episode was the first one I ever saw. I remember being impressed with the writing enough to work my schedule around so I wouldn't miss it anymore. I had to wait until it went into syndication to catch the first season, & I remember thinking how…
