I started up a Ratchet Collection playthrough a couple weeks ago and of all the ps platformer trilogies, it's probably held up the best. I have a soft spot for the first Jak and Sly, but in HD, Ratchet's 1-3 remain lovely polished things.

I've been seeing folk getting into Knights of the Old Republic, left and right. I wonder if it's a combination of new film hype, Humble Sale, GOG.com, or just general zeitgeist drift.

Sunless Sea has some really great little (and large) stories. I think the format is rather brilliant, and am looking forward to more islands, guest writers, and the underzee. It's my new chicken soup game.

I got sucked into strategy games this week. I've been on an rts kick, as well as grand strategy, including the total war series.

2016 will be the year of the cinema's Benghazi singularity. I for one am looking forward to Uwe Boll's Benghnazi, Tommy Wiseau's The Consulate, Dinesh D'Souza's America 2: Thanks Obama, No, wait, Shit, I meant Hillary! & John Water's Vile Rat.

Evolve is groovy. I've had a blast with every character. Deep gameplay that rewards experimentation. Great with friends, not so great with pubs. The one thing I think could've really made the combat, an ability to go into slow-motion for brief bursts of action.

There are rumblings that Episode 4 of KRZed is close at hand.

Dragon Age : Inquisition. I'm roughly halfway through the game, and took a break or breather to whittle at some of the other back-catalog, after the holidays. I'll probably pick it back up when The Black Emporium patch hits, as that seems to add a lot of mid-late game quality of life improvements.

I just made it to the second dungeon in Persona Q after ten hours and it opened up a bunch, and now I need to learn a bunch of newish systems. Great game.

I played a bunch of Evolve. Exceptional polish, Nintendo-level, really. The more I play, the deeper it rewards. I've enjoyed playing every character.
