I’m kind of inclined to agree with you on the funny part—at least nothing comes immediately to mind—but his dramatic work has been nothing short of phenomenal. ‘Broken Flowers’ was terrific, and ‘Lost in Translation’ may be the most emotionally genuine movie I’ve ever seen.
Strictly funny or not good in general? I really liked him in City of Ember, but it wasn’t an overly humorous role.
