Another Indiana specialty Pizza King is known our version of a stromboli sandwich. It’s a sandwich roll split and slathered with garlic butter, pizza sauce and topped with crumble sausage and mozzarella cheese. Crumble sausage is tiny round bits of sausage and used as a pizza toppings at many chains here too.

When out and about and wondering what to have for dinner, Popeye’s chicken sandwich is still my favorite choice. Picked up one of the strawberry biscuits with last week’s sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The strawberries really pop, it’s sweet and salty and very flavorful.

The salads are including in the $6.99 Mix and Match special. The garden salad by itself only has 80 calories and the chicken has 220, so they aren’t too large to be just a side. 

It comes in parcooked from commissary and is refrigerated until it goes into the pan. There is really no room for error on the back end as it goes into the pan and through the oven for 7 minutes just like the pizzas. 

The carbonara sauce is the same Alfredo sauce used in the chicken Alfredo. It just has more flavor due to the addition of the bacon and onion.
