Holy shit that's a hell of a leap.
Holy shit that's a hell of a leap.
It's a protest against art being made. It is absolutely censorship. Whether that's always a bad thing is up for debate, not the wording.
I agree and disagree. If there was ample evidence that it was going to be handled poorly, for instance if Eli Roth was involved, than I would have a major issue with the morality of producing it. But apart from some lapses in judgement on Game of Thrones I see no evidence either way. So the logical thing to do is wait…
You know misunderstanding and disagreeing are two different things, right? Or is everyone expected to vibrate at your perfect moral frequency?
Why are you bragging about starting a lame and ineffective protest? Is that something to be proud of?
I really thought it was going to be about Charlottesville and I was like "Oh this isn't all bad." BUT IT IS. IT IS ALL BAD.
I never thought I'd say this but wow what an insult to pigfuckers.
Why Diana Scarwid isn't the celebrated as the genius she is is a question that keeps me up at night.
I Kissed a Girl was her first major single. It came before Teenage Dream.
Her early bubblegum stuff (pre-Roar) was pretty good, imo. When she started doing sappy inspirational bullshit I was done.
To me Joanne felt like yet another persona. Granted it was less messy and shitty than the Artpop one but it wasn't as interesting or fun as her Fame Monster days.
You weren't. Die Young, Thinking of You and Crazy Kids are three of my all-time favorites and Warrior is a great album in general. So much of it is weird and nearly all of it works.
Two mildly well-received albums is not exactly the bedrock for a stable music career. If her struggles with Dr. Asshat had gone on for another year than people would have moved on to the next horrific tragedy and she'd turn into an Avril Lavigne-esque figure, releasing more albums to less and less fanfare.
This is the first album of the 'meaningful pop' era that connected with me. Maybe it's because of Kesha's extended public legal battle but I feel like a lot of the songs have an authenticity to them I didn't feel was present on the recent Lady Gaga or Katy Perry records. I love how she does cheesy flower power stuff…
Well she's made more movies in the past eight years, believe it or not.
So now two stars of Twilight have become respected actors and essentially proved that they were not why those films were terrible.
A few questions:
The new Kesha album is absolutely brilliant. Let 'Em Talk is a late-season candidate for Song of the Summer for me.
It's all very 'soft' humor though. I get why people like the ABC shows but they're just not my speed. It took me a long time to realize that. I watched three seasons of The Middle before I was like "I don't enjoy this."
It sounds like those people are hungry for some of the drama themselves. It is no one's fault but Nick's. To say "Oh if only I hadn't helped cause this!" is such a egomaniacal statement. No one knows what goes on in someone's private life. Anyone could be an asshole. The scariest part of this is that realization: No…
