OH MY GOD YES. I consider myself a feminist but there's this pattern of "umm, not good enough" when it comes to criticism that I cannot stand. We're inching forward towards true progress and all some people can say is that it's not enough. Change takes time and we can't expect the world to wake up tomorrow and be

Of course, but I thought it was going to stay under the surface and I would be left guessing. I had no idea it would blow up like this. When she was eliminated I thought "Oh okay, so she'll go down as a saint despite clearly being anything but." I NEVER thought she'd be called out for being even worse than the girl I

Yeah but the male characters who have graced the main credits are in, what, 50+ episodes? I mean let's call a spade a spade: They created two female "leads" and then killed them both off in their debut season because they were token characters. Which I think is really gross in retrospect.

Amy Poehler is one of those people I see and immediately smile. This sounds so fucking cheesy but some people seem to just be filled with light and she's one of those people.

I'm gagging reading some of these comments back. Oh how little we knew.

"there must be good weed there because he's an idiot."

AHS seasons are all topsy-turvy for me. Every time I hear a premise I like it turns into a terrible season (3, 4, 5) and every time I roll my eyes at a premise it turns into a season I really like (2, 6). Ryan Murphy is a conundrum wrapped in a riddle. Wrapped in shit.

Oh agreed 100%. Beauty is so valued in the world (and especially among gay men) it's almost the ultimate form of privilege (sorry if I just triggered anyone).

Oh, I will always see his casting as a plus because I am very shallow and he is very attractive (and I GUESS a competent actor). I just also hate the living shit out of him.

Colton Haynes is inexcusably annoying to me. He seems to think that, because he's hot, he can waltz into the gay community after a decade in the industry and take over as the new It Guy. He claims that he has so much anxiety controlling his life but if that's true than why is his life basically all lived in the public

Yeah but also fuck Caitlyn Jenner. Her "struggles" are not emblematic of anyone I know and she continued to fight against her own community after her transition. The fact that she's celebrated at all is way more gross to me than someone criticizing her.

To me it's not the sexually aggressive part that concerns me but the near-unprecedented way she attracted and encouraged negative attention. She was an unrepentant sociopath and I think that it's prudent to examine the validity of her statements. Even with an issue as serious as this.

Cassidy was always great at playing just a straight-up bitch. She was going to be the new Heather Locklear before she got stuck on Arrow. I am also a Laurel-apologist but damn what a waste.

They might not have been the best characters ever but I liked both of them and I thought there was long term potential for them on the series. But then they replaced Cassidy (in her best CW part yet, for my money) with Padalecki's wife seemingly in an attempt to decrease the character's popularity. It's maddening.

How has a relatively popular (CW!) drama gotten away with not having a female main cast member for twelve seasons? They tried to game the system with Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohen (despite both being in only six episodes) but it's still shocking to me.

With the success of weird spin-offs/homages/rip-offs like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I'm thinking of publishing a series of similar titles. Since the true-crime thing is so hot right now, why not write new Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books that examine real life cases? I can see it now, Nancy Drew and the Curious

I do not watch Seth Meyers' show but i have an earnest, non-ironic question for those of you who do: Has he grown a personality? I watched him for many years on SNL and I never once saw him as anything more than a joke delivery device. I'm not trying to hate on him, I'm just wondering how a demeanor such as his can

It was a joke. I originally had it as Nascar, so this was a step up.

I'd say her fans' entitlement is emblematic of that.

"Drag queen" might not be a gender group or a sexual orientation, but it is still a subculture that has been persecuted. Neither of the examples you listed had slur-users that were part of a group being targeted with those words. And this is not a fictionalized cable show, this is a "reality" series. I want the queens
