It is a little disappointing to pay good money to go to a ballgame and watch your favorite star and one of the most exciting players in baseball get intentionally walked all the time though. As a fan it sucks. I get why they do it but it makes it shittier as a fan.

It’s because ESPN covers the pathetic NBA (sorry but I can’t stand the NBA, I love college and especially high school ball, even the WNBA more) disproportionately more than the NHL, even though attendance ratings are identical.

Nah. It’s just the NBA. And that’s mostly because ESPN cares way to damn much about it. They haul out Barry Melrose’s sorry carcass for 2 minutes every hour of sportcenter even though NHL and NBA attendance ratings are the same (NHL’s may indeed be higher in some cases), and both have a worldly appeal.
