Great article, but how about something more realistic? Two income household, kids, daycare, school loans, mortgage, two cars, etc. Salary ranges from 50k-250k.

i carry my Becker BK2 and duct tape. All a man needs really.

As much as possible basically.

"what is a realistic figure I should use for spending"

yeah baby! i'm a SAS developer, and the powers that be are not 100% satisfied with SAS's interaction with Win7, so WinXP for me!

Yep.

So now Tebow might get to play? Oh God.

i cant download ANY of these at work.. thepaperwall.com is blocked for 'nudity'. grr.

we keep it classy over here in the plains states with our padlocks, clinging to our guns and religion and such.. echoing what FleurdeLeah said above, kids don't know their own strength and will do near ANYTHING for instant gratification of a need/want. I would happily give my life or gleefully take someone else's for

we had to do this to keep our youngest in her room at night. when she was 2 she would crawl out of bed and walk around in the middle of the night. so i turned the locks around to prevent her from getting out and possibly getting hurt if we didn't hear her get up (or worse, if she were to open up the front door and

I have the Merkur HD and LOVE Feather blades. I also have had good success with the Gillete series 7 on Amazon. They just don't last as long, however. Maybe 3 shaves at most.

The worst deer accident I have ever seen was in I-80 in Iowa. Doe vs semi at 80mph. Like popping a balloon.

Doesn't Bieber own one of these that is currently sitting in Russia or something in baby monkey jail?

true that! i am lucky to live in the midwest where housing in my area is about $100/sq ft finished. We have plenty of house and yard for our family of 4, and even with property taxes we are still under $2k/month for mortgage. child care on the other hand....

Considering after taxes you are looking at about $3k (roughly estimated) and child care for two kids runs about $1600/month then yeah, it would be difficult to support a family on that.

We have the Elf on the Shelf, but we make it a fun game for the parents as well - we see who can get him in the most trouble. Our Elf, "Crispy" gets in to a lot of trouble.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to whats in my pocket - i HATE bulk. I have chapstick on me at all times, my Moleskine and a sharpie pen, a few personal cards, the key to my truck, and that's about it.

carbs make you fat, not fat. eating carbs in the AM is the worst thing you can do. period. end of story.

North Face Surge II. Holds my work laptop and my Air, all my power cables and extras (knife, nail cliipers, file), moleskines, headphones and my GoPro + accessories in a drysak.

This is true, but I grew up with Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, etc. They are all classics to me.
