Good. Now adjust the death rate for nuclear energy to cover the entire period that the nuclear fuel is dangerous for humans. You may have to let a few centuries pass to gather that data.

Until it’s not and contaminates a huge area, costs hundreds of billion of dollars to clean up, and lingers on for decades if not hundreds of years.  Other then that, it’s perfectly safe.  

There’s potential. The worry is that the broom could be presented as an anti-sat weapon. But we seem to have much more overt military threats to satellite infrastructure now, in addition to the massive current threat of the junk itself.
