Thank you for your comment. I take your point about how I see fight fixing. Let me just say, on its behalf, that we are talking about a sport that brings in the most disenfranchised people imaginable, and that the price they would pay for anything past a moderate length career is the permanent erosion of their health.

Thank you, Sam. It means a lot to me that you enjoyed both articles, and will keep reading my work. And yes, I haven’t changed my views on the other “big wins.” And I’m still in agreement with you about Joshua-Wilder.

If Wilder beats Joshua, I’ll acknowledge that I called it wrong, of course. Let’s see what happens. Thank you for letting me know that you enjoy my work. To answer your question: past a certain weight, I think it’s true that you find fighters being progressively less and less sound, with the heavyweights representing

I have seldom received a comment that has meant more to me. I can’t thank you enough for it. I’m grateful for the time you’ve given my writing, and for understand that I am not always going to be right about everything I think will take place. This just made my day.

Paulie Malignaggi picked it up right away.

I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about, man. I’ve never heard of this stuff.

I hope the fight was fun for you. Thanks for letting me know that you found my piece worth your time.

Thank you for letting me know you get something out of the pieces. I’ll continue to try to write things that you find value in.

That’s great to hear. I hope you find the sport as compelling as I do.

Thanks for the kind words. I thought that Golovkin won the first fight, but under-performed enough to allow Canelo to be given a present that didn’t seem like an out and out heist. Clearly the second fight is going Canelo’s way unless Golovkin mades it a point to leave no margin for error.

Thanks very sincerely for understanding my position, and coming to my defense. I owe you one.

Neither. I like getting things right, and I try to do that, but whether I’m right or wrong is a very small thing compared to the fights themselves. I’m pleased the public saw an exciting fight. That’s more important than anything I could write about it either way.

It did turn out well for Wilder and his crew, all credit to them for it.

Thanks, man. I nailed some of the points, but obviously missed big on some key ones too.

Thanks for telling me this. Hopefully Kelly and Tim will be happy about it too.

I’m really glad the piece resonated with you. Thank you for that. I do think a lot of Burneko and Thompson, though.

If it was a dumb ass article, why would anyone have turned away from the from watching the fight? Just ignore the thing; don’t waste your time writing to me about it for free.

I’m glad the followup piece makes sense for you, man. Thanks for letting me know that.

That’s really well said, and is exactly the point I was hoping to make about “good” and “bad.”

I’m glad you got the piece you were looking for. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I think your assessment of Wilder is very astute.
