Exactly. It’s as if half of the editorial writers at Jalopnik wandered over from Jezebel.

This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve read on Jalopnik all year (and that’s saying a lot). The “extremely lopsided on paper” comment completely OMITS what was admitted in the very first paragraph: the Cybertruck is towing a copy of the car it’s racing!

Vehicle that costs the same as a Porsche beats Porsche in drag race while towing another Porsche?

I mean, it’s impressive, if nothing else. All drag races are spectacle, really.

Why are we getting bigger and beefier. That is what the Tundra is for. Fuck Trump

Ya it’s awfully convenient that Bentley had an unintended acceleration recall but only on right hand drive models. I wonder if the fancy shag carpets got dislodged or something and hindered accelerator pedal positioning.

I also only saw a single angle of the incident on the NYT website and I have no clue how someone could determine that the driver was on the brakes. It’s possible the authorities have access to another recording that’s more telling, but we aren’t certain.

Mr. Villani was alert, not impaired, and was pressing on the brakes”

I only saw one piece of footage, is there more out there that would be able to show this?

The show’s format was different, with episodes ranging from just four minutes to ten minutes

It’s literally proven science, and has been for seventy years.

Yeah, imagine how many shit overly heavy, thirsty crappy ass hybrids with double power trains and even more failure points you could make, instead of switching over to clean electric-only vehicles.

100% guaranteed that someone in management moved the exhumation forward to avoid a negative PR event with crying relatives and annoying press coverage.

Have you considered not shopping there?

I stop at that gas station sometimes for my smokes and morning Monster. The guys who run it are super dirtbaggy and are almost certainly working with A1 in all of this bullshit.

Given the location and nature of the business, I am 100% certain the tow truck guys are also armed.

am I getting this correctly? A tow trucks goes into a truck stop to refill. Does his refill, moves his truck and goes to pay for parking and during that time the trucks get booted?

Doesn’t the truck stop have a contract with that A1 company? The truck stop allows that kind of behavior on their property?

Honestly surprised no employees of these predatory towing companies have been shot yet.

A lot of it is just the class of car. You buy a large luxury sedan because it has the latest features and looks like money. After 5 years, it no longer has the latest features and looks like the old model (no longer money).

They depreciate like this because there is little value in the used car market for someone to buy one of these without a warranty.  I had a friend ask me about Audi, as I drove an A6 just previous to his question.  I told him to go to cars.com or some other car sales website and do a search for high end European cars

I despise Elon Musk and all he touches, but this isn’t really a ding against Tesla, IMO. So long as you are extracting value from what you have purchased, depreciation is a purely academic concern. If you pay price X for a car, and own it for years Y, is the value of X divided by Y an acceptable rate to pay for having

I know a lot of people write off deprecation as a big, “who cares.”
