Farouk had DNA taken from Lenny’s corpse using some device that apparently alters the DNA of another to match the sampled DNA. This twisted Amy’s body but her mind should have still been her own, so most likely Farouk booted Amy’s psyche and shoved Lenny’s in.

It’s added on top of the 8 episodes from season one, thus it’s the 14th episode overall.

That may be the intended connection, but the shadows left by the droogs were in the direction cast by the tunnel lamp: toward the camera and perpendicular to the blast direction, which is not how that would work.

The shadows were also there after stock-boy David obliterated everything around him except Amy.

Plus he stole that machine from Division 3, I think it was maybe in Cary’s lab? I figure if there’s any possibility of reversing things it would be because Cary made the machine in the first place.

The Shadow King promised he wouldn’t kill, so Amy must be alive in some form somewhere.

He took dna from Lenny’s body using the machine, and then used the same machine to resculpt Amy’s body into Lenny’s.

I’m not sure you can expect a meth head to have accurate science.

That’s the question. According to next week’s promo, we’ll get flashes of screaming trapped Amy - possibly forced to share a body with Lenny.

I don’t think so, Lenny was still experiencing Amy’s memories and Aubrey Plaza said that the new Lenny is a completely new character. Since she has old Lenny’s memories, I took that to mean that she’s an amalgam of Amy and Lenny.

What he did to the Droogs? I think he nuked them. There’s a phenomenon called Nuclear Shadows where imprints of shadows were left behind on surfaces in Hiroshima.

So did the Shadow King kill Amy’s mind in the process of changing her body into Lenny’s?

I’m having a hard time grasping for the plot. We’ve had three episodes in a row that have been basically spiral-shaped character studies, and while they’ve been interesting in their own ways, all together I’m just wondering *but where is all this GOING?!*

Nope, didn’t work for me. Like I love how the show is weird and elliptical, and multiverse stories are my jam, but tonight just felt like it was being weird for weird’s sake, and aggressively digressive.

Shadow King is gonna get fucked up. probably the worst thing he could have done is pissing David off.

Yeah, I had settled into the idea of the episode being a bit of a breather before what’s next - which of course it is - until halfway through when I went: “duh!” and realized it was an elegy.

It took me a while, but I got it: This is how the most powerful psychic in the world mourns his sister.
