You are on point about nerd culture in the past. Long before it was mainstream nobody cared. With how mainstream it has become, a lot of the things we were escaping bled in. Some are just sheer ignorance though, and not actual hate.

Definitely, when I was watching it, I was trying to imagine it as if I never read the Infinity Gauntlet. It was even better. The theater was dead quiet after that, since none of them know (or have an idea) about the Infinity series. Plus the reason why Thanos did was way better in the movie, then having an emo crush…

I enjoyed it. I was sad that it’s so desolate. My only gripe was I hated Feng’s voice, it was so grating. I loved the Battle Medic mechanics.
