One Piece predates Naruto by two years. The manga that is. The One Piece anime began 3 years before the Naruto anime.

There were only three - Grimlock, "Snarl", and Swoop, like what's previewed here. I guess those are the most popular three. I know Grimlock and Swoop have always been my faves.
