We get a lot of them at work. They are...trying. Especially the ones with children, because they don’t have anything close to a structured learning environment (not even close to home schooling, where many do institute a schedule or at least some sort of structure), and thus they essentially hand their kids over to us…

The bad thing is that it’s Emma Watson that’s doing it, who is a celebrity and should therefore by default shut up. There seems to be an ugly undertone of ‘stick to your lane’ to Joan’s response, regardless of the validity of Watson’s message.

Yeah, it isn’t REALLY about class issues. It is honestly just a love story about dysfunctional millennials, and they happen to be from different social classes but note that they went to the same high school and college so its not like they are ~that different~.

I really enjoyed Conversations with Friends. Like really enjoyed it, had trouble putting it down.

It was very meh, but also upsetting (Marianne and her other boyfriends and her brother). And you just want to shake the characters. Just say what you mean! Communicate for once in your life!

Totally agree. I bought it after reading all the accolades and was quite disappointed. I hope the movie is better than the book.
