But aren't people reporting it actually makes the game more stable?

To be fair yes the Wii U has 6-7 million compared to XOne's 5-6 million the thing is that the Wii U has been out nearly 2 years while the XOne has been out for only 6 months. Also with the Wii U you have to make use of the touchpad which requires extra dev time which you don't have to for any other platform.

I missed out on Nintendo's time but heard a lot of people losing their minds over the new Yoshi game.

I surprised myself when I became super excited about Splatoon. It felt like these old awesome Nintendo E3 press conferences. I watched the trailer a million times and the music can't get out of my head since. Can't wait for this game! (and a left-handed option for pikmin 3 so I can actually play with the gamepad)

part of it probably has to do with the trailer being mostly in the desert where there is 2 colors.

Actually, Virion/Sully match is awesome. She doesn't regret it and they are a killing machine together.
