Every non-union employee who has been treated well is just lucky.

It should be offensive enough that seemingly all these top executive communications keep failing to acknowledge, whatever the main topic may be, that they’ve already failed, and all employees are doing have been about consequences for failure.

Once you sign that document, you will have signed over to CWA the exclusive right “to represent [you] for the purposes of collective bargaining concerning all terms and conditions of employment.” That means that your ability to negotiate all your own working conditions will be turned over to CWA, just as the document

If any industry needs unionization it is software development. They are underpaid and overworked. They are forced to live in some of the most expensive cities in the country but only given modest salaries. They are crunched. They literally have an industry-wide cycle that consists of being worked doggedly for months

Legit surprised to not see any mention that the workspace is a family, as you say. Perhaps not the oldest trick in the book (as the initial rise of unions were met with a more direct “fuck you you’re nothing die in a fire” from the bosses) but a classic nonetheless.

That means that your ability to negotiate all your own working conditions will be turned over to CWA, just as the document says.

Agreed, but where are they going to find a Fiyero she doesn’t absolutely bury? I’m so very curious.

Next stop, Baseball Furies.

Obviously only speaking for myself, but I’ll never buy hardware that requires a subscription to operate. That’s just crazy talk.

I’ll never understand why people call these games “free.” If you have to pay for a service in order to receive them, they aren’t free. The games you receive with XBLG and PS+ are not free. The games you receive with Amazon Prime are not free. You only receive them if you pay for a subscription. You don’t get them

The advice would be the same for any other furniture. Wood is better than the medium to high density fiberboard. The low density stuff (fiberboard, chipboard) will probably not survive the assembly process without some damage, then will immediately start drooping.  I actually trust Ikea stuff over most similarly

Same! Probably half my furniture is from Ikea from across 20 years and like 10 moves (several cross-country) and I’ve never had to get rid of something because it broke or whatever. If you pack well and treat your furniture well, it will be last.

Yeah, the problem isn’t casting 20 year olds for teens. They do it all the time.

I’m skeptical. The world has changed a lot since he left The Daily Show and it isn’t clear if Jon Stewart has evolved to meet that challenge.

Then in the first Avengers movie, fans are introduced to Hawkeye

They could start by creating some respectful female superheroes.

This is a very good commentary.

Fun fact, both colors of Reese’s puffs are the same flavor and always have been. Cereals like Trix and Fruity Pebbles are the same as well.

Nilla Wafers are a shell of their former selves.

Agree here. In 1999 you could get a pretty filling meal for 5 -7 dollars at subway and not feel super gross about your choice.
