I was so hoping beyond hope that the way this show was going to deal with the elephant in the room was by tackling it head on, the way Iron Man and Luke Cage (partially) did for their respective ones.

Someone needs to help me out here, because I have heard nothing but love for this show, but I’ve watched the first 4 episodes and am having a HARD time. If someone would just bother to be more faithful to the source material, a re-imagining wouldn’t event be necessary....the original books are bizarre, haunting and imaginative, and no one has really bothered to mine the full wealth of material that already exists there.
