Just a heads up that the vacuum is no longer available (which is extremely frustrating). You may want to update the post so that others don’t have to share my disappointment.

He was? My bad. I guess I didn’t pick up on that. I thought he was in SD from the first time we saw him.

This is a nice write up. One nitpick, however, is that I think you have a little bit of the geography off. For example, you mention Danzig Dale being in the southwest but they made it clear he was in South Dakota. Like I said, it’s very minor and completely understandable at this point to lose track of little details

So glad I clicked on this and the piece about Secret World. How do these even count as articles. I could get equally as much info if I subscribed to Luke’s twitter, I reckon.

Just a heads up that the target lock (L2 by default) is a toggle. You don’t have to hold it down to keep targeting.

But the test screenings didn’t have that bit of lore. According to the article, that bit of dialog was added as a pick up shot when they were shooting the other endings.

I don’t know. I’d say it’s pretty bad. It certainly commits many of the sins associated with bad storytelling. Regardless of whether this is due to incompetence or running out of time, the result is the same.

Fair enough. I hope I didn’t come across like I was disrespectful toward your opinion. I just hadn’t heard of anyone saying that the second half was anything more than shit.

I mean, I get what you’re saying about adapting vs creating something new, but I have zero faith in SE’s current iteration.

The way they told XV’s story was deliberate? Hahahaha. You actually believe that? Hahahaha. “Hey, let’s deliberately release a story which only makes sense if you watch companion movies and other bullshit. Oh and let’s deliberately make it so nonsensical that we have to release several major patches (something we

It really does. Which makes me sad because I think FFXV was the most unpolished FF game of all time. This game is going to be a mess.

Honestly just play the original. I am about 95% certain that this remake is going to be shit. Sure the original graphics are outdated and some of it might not have aged well, but this is likely to be piece meal, inconsistent, and it will likely take 5 years or longer for the episodes to release.

They want to expand the story? Nooooo. That would be a terrible idea on their part. Based on FFXV, there is nobody at SE anymore who knows how to create a competent story.

What makes you think they won’t be full price? Do you actually believe that subsequent episodes will come out on time? What’s to keep SE from abandoning episodes if sales are weak? These are just a couple of many reasons I think it’s a bad thing for this to be episodic. Although, frankly after XV my overall inteeest

FFXV has made me lose all hope and interest in anything Fianl Fantasy. I mean, sure, the remake of VII isn’t going to have the same story issues. But XV’s awful story is only one of maybe 10 things I hated about that game. It’s been over a decade since a good FF game has been made. I think that ship has sailed and it

What are you even talking about? To me you just sound like someone who does shit work but when your clients complain you just chalk it up to this “buyer’s remorse” nonsense which is far less prevalent than you are trying to make it out to be.

Seriously fuck Tom Brady. Actually fuck the whole NFL. Why is it filled with so many assholes?

This is one of the reasons that the mystery team matches in Arcade mode is my favorite way to play. On top of the fact that it makes me play characters I might never even try otherwise, it also removes pretty much any toxicity related to character picks since they’re all random.

Go fuck yourself. It’s because of fucking idiots like you who keep saying “Yeah but what about poor people? Or what about libraries?” Or whatever other stupid fucking justification you want to use, that those of us in the game industry have zero job security and can be expected to get laid off multiple times during

Late writer? Um, Englehart is alive. Should maybe fix that.
