It’s a conspiracy!

Its problematic that saying “black women need help too, and we should do more for them” means “anti-black male.” Kinda similar argument to saying “black lives matter is racist, don’t you think.

Boooooo, disagree

Each episode is completely different and self contained, and San Junipero is literally the only episode with a happy ending. It is maybe the most important show on TV right now so yes I would recommend watching it, maybe start on the rest of third season (which is more geared to a North American audience.)

Still don’t think we should be giving credence to this outrage, mom shaming is bullshit whichever way it goes.

Meh, life ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. Also how the hell did you end up on this site?

Also most people are drunk the whole time and then their dates are like “helicopters rides in Fiji” so yeah I would be in love too with whoever I was with.

I don’t believe in best friends, I think that’s something that comes from childhood. I would say each of my friends serves a different purpose at different times in my life, but all are good in their own ways. That said if I had to pick one, I would say it would be my friend since childhood just because she’s been my

I was like, “wow they are desperate” but after watching those kissing montages... I’m pumped.

All the screenings to this at TIFF sold out and I had early access. FML but good for Gerwig

Yeah but the white people who speak up aren’t going to be the face of a major conglomerate like L’Oreal either. Pretty sure L’Oreal has used child labour in the past for example.

Also let’s remember she was selling makeup for a large conglomerate? I mean capitalism is the source of a lot of injustices for impoverished people, meaning women and POCs, so if she really wanted to be 100% in for fighting racism, she maybe shouldn’t have been selling for a big brand like L’Oreal anyways. Is anyone

I mean I hope it’s a joke? Ellen likes to feature kids tap dancing, not dressed up as a murderous clown

K so question - what exactly did people like about True Detective Season 1? I am watching it and the mystery moves SOOOOO slow, and the story at least for the first 5 episodes seems totally unrelated to the murder we saw in the first episode. Also the female characters are so poorly written, they do nothing except

20 bucks there will be a mud wrestling fight

This isn’t the same case, they never showed the actual situation, but she physically sat on his face. She was giggling and talking during the incident. She was just not herself, but it wasn’t the case that consent wasn’t really given. It was just a dangerous situation where the production should be more careful about

Guaranteed, if their board had more women on it, had more people of colour on it, they would have more diversity in the directors for their films. That’s because people are more likely to mentor and foster the talent of those that remind them of themselves. So if your org is made up of all white men, you will likely

Film festival media is listing Mudbound and Kings as “must see” so that’s what I mean by buzz. Ready Player One is a big ass budget film directed by Steven Spielberg, OF COURSE it gets its trailers early. They probably showed it at Comic Con. Ready Player One is in the same level as the Hunger Games, Iron Man, Star

Kings, Mudbound, and Battle of the Sexes are three of TIFFs buzziest films this year, all directed by women.

This is such bullshit - the TIFF selection has a lot of female directed films this year. Not parity by far, but enough that I haven’t been hard pressed to really find female-directed options.
