Yeah, mission creep is a good word. As I see it, in the past MSU Campus Police were basically security. In the present, both the University and the city of E. Lansing think of the MSU Campus Police as an actual police force for investigating serious crimes. 

I was on vacation for two weeks and I aced it. Paid back a small personal loan as well. It’s kind of unbelievable to me, but the last two weeks I killed it. Actually, liberals did pull this a number of years back (TX and NM as well as IL and WI) but without the guns, and the GOP waited them out and eventually won the day. I imagine that may happen this time.
