100% accurate new slogan for her. Also? “Forget about the other bullying victims, let’s talk about me and my pain” would also work.

I assume you mean without. I’m wondering if the law is clear about that because I’ve read that LYFT does cooperate, especially in assault against its drivers, and Uber does not. And when I was assaulted by a cab driver back in the day I provided his cab number and company to the police and they had his info very

They can, but they have not always. There was a case where a couple of guys assaulted their female Uber driver and the company did not release the information to the Police. Uber is not always you friend.

It may be that Uber took that long to give them contact information. It may be that they didn’t care.

Uber is terrible in so many ways and for so many reasons. But be very careful as a woman when taking an Uber or Lyft. Because it seems like Lyft is somewhat helpful in cases of assault, but Uber was either unhelpful or actually obstructing the investigation in several cases.

Right? It’s like he was all “this will show them how good I am.” And the rest of us reply, “Did it hurt when you shot yourself in the foot like that? Because it looks like it would hurt.”

Chicago police for the win.

She faces it every morning, and laughs about it all the way to the bank.

Hello. You are my new best friend.

She lost me when she wore the jacket. And then when she went to a shelter of immigrant kids and marveled that anyone would “abandon” their kids—at the height of forced separation. Now she colonials her way around Africa, all smiles because she doesn’t have to touch the mushroom until she goes home, and talks about how

A man grabbed a mic out of a woman’s hand and then later threw it back at her and we are all talking about her. What she did. What she should have done. What she should have said. Just an observation.

This is a fair criticism of white women. Including me. Being privately distressed is not the same as vocally supporting justice. I will try to do better in future, but that doesn’t make up for inaction in the past. You are right, completely.

Such a commonsense reply but you really lessened my anxiety, so thank you.

I take transit even though I have a car (high MPG) and there is free parking at work. I have no kids. I will focus on flying less and the vegan thing. Sigh. Vegan. That’s the next step.

I tourist in Detroit regularly and I always find something new to see. Always. I love it. Still trying to convince my extended family to join me.

Curious, when’s the last time you were there? I ask because you sound like the members of my extended family who have not been to Detroit since the early 90s. And, no, Henry Ford Museum doesn’t count (like I tell them). City limits or nothing.

I visit as a tourist from Chicago because I love architecture (Fisher Building, Guardian Building, Masonic Temple, Fox Theater, etc.) and because I have family in Michigan. There are amazing art installations in Detroit (the Heidelberg Project and the African Bead Museum, I think it’s called, are the two I can

My sympathy to the officer’s family. He sounds like a very good person.

I wish you one or the other, or perhaps both at once.
