Biggest mistake I’ve ever made on a first date? Actually taking that girl on a date...

*Insert obligatory complaint about calling Linux an OS.*

I just purchased a budget laptop for the sole purpose of running Kali and Tails. I’ve installed Fedora to the internal SSD for daily use. I’m not big on daily Linux desktop usage. I require far too many apps that aren’t available or are absolutely horrid on Linux. I installed Kali to an SD card I boot from when I do

Or, ya know, we could stop thinking of it as though we lose an hour, seeing is we technically gained one back in the fall :p

F*** BB-8. Where’s R2-D2's playlist? What about C-3P0? Anything from R5-D4? Better yet, I want IG-88's freakin playlist.

Well this is the most pointless comment I’ve read all year. Not even good work. 0% with a big red F

Granted, there needs to be a few exceptions to this rule pointed out. The most obvious exception being an app like YouTube. If you are actively watching a video in picture-in-picture mode, even though the app is *technically* in the background, it is using more battery than it otherwise would. I say that because I

Just worth noting, this will be changing in an upcoming release of Homebrew Cask.

A shame the developer refuses to help anyone who bought the app now. His licensing mechanism keeps failing and he refuses to do anything to help. Guess I need to find another app for this.

I see one problem here. This video only explains what happens for phone calls and iMessages, but not actual SMS. From my experience, SMS messages are simply ignored by the phone. Since there is no “delivered” status response for SMS, the sender would be none-the-wiser, just like with a phone call.

MOST people do not compare opposing viewpoints. If you need any scientific evidence to support this, take a walk around your city and ask people for their opinion on a hot button topic. Then ask them what they think about an opposing idea and watch their reaction. Assuming you don’t get shot, or at least beaten down

Personally, I think it’s all because of the non-stop bullshit the media has fed us all over the last eight years. The biggest entertainment of the whole gig is that it’s ALWAYS extreme. One party is always saving the world while the other is destroying it. There is never a middle ground or a “normal” issue. It’s

For most of my life, I was raised with mostly Republican views. My parents are Christians and are quite conservative on a number of topics. However, in recent years, I have began to realize that I largely disagree with both parties. This year, for this charade known as the “Presidential Election,” I decided to watch a

Personally, I incinerate my trash. The excess greenhouse gas produced by it is easily offset by the insane number of trees nearby.

God I hate those things. I would rather wrestle a Great White Shark with my bare hands than have a damn stye. At least you can punch the damn shark in the freakin’ eye!

The main thing to remember here is that such medical devices are always marked as having a shorter usable lifetime than they actually have. The reason is twofold - make more money off those who replace them more often and most slackers will replace them by the time they are legitimately in need of replacing.

oh pssh. he doesn’t have time to learn, he’s too busy making money :p

Yes and no. Yes, they can still infect the eye just the same. However, the main point here is that contacts compromise the effectiveness of your eyes’ tears, which would otherwise be the first line of defense against such agents. However, if you have contacts in, your tears are worthless if the agent is on your

The humidity from showering and hot tubs can easily moisten the contacts. However, because it’s actual water and not a contact solution that moistens them, you run the risk of bringing a ton of bacteria onto the contacts with this. Granted, if you shower in cold water and don’t do hot tubs, this particular rule is

Unless you bought the world’s cheapest leather wannabe, this won’t hurt them. You won’t spend but, perhaps, 5 minutes total exposing them to heat like this. Then again, you also don’t want to stick the dryer right on top of it either. Keep your distance but make sure the shoe is warming up. If you don’t feel an
