I get what you are saying. For myself and my customers I will always make sure my customers are informed on tyres they need for the area and usage they require.

Perhaps, but here in Markham Ontario, all weather tyres are not conducive to the amount of snow we get.  From my experience selling the proper tyre for the proper utilization works for me.  

The Michelin rep tried to upsell me on these. I have yet to be convinced. Plus I still stand behind the availability  of this tyre during the spring/summer months. 

There are huge disadvantages to all weather tyres. .1. they are designed for minimal amount of snowfall. The compound in the tyres is not as pliable at 7 Celsius ( I am Canadian sorry). 2. the biggest problem is that if you have to replace them in the spring summer fall months the availability is really low.
