Patrick Swayze was an interesting person. He became very spiritual late in life, and as that SNL sketch demonstrates, he had a sense of humor about himself. I would have loved to see what he would be up to if he were still around.

The guy had charisma for days. Unfortunately, he disappeared for a while when he started aging out of the ‘hunky heartthrob for teen girls’ roles, but was poised for a second run as “grizzled badass” in “The Beast” when the cancer got him.

On the Swayze part, I watched Point Break and Road House back-to-back (well, a few days apart) a month or so ago and neither of those movies would work AT ALL if he hadn’t been in them. At all.
