Been waiting to post this since last year! Apologies in advance for the length, and hopefully this gets out of the greys.

When I was a freshman in college at the University of Texas A&M, I lived in a North side dorm, and participated in something that was called “Cut” and also “Building the Hell”. It was the annual tradition of constructing the campus Bonfire that was burned every year before the game against the team in Austin. The…
My first time contributing, finally! I live on the west coast of Norway, and despite the grim weather, I love the dark and moody atmosphere that the weather brings, especially in winter. Despite all the tales and stories, I have never seen anything out of the ordinary, although I can definitely understand how such an…
Severely not digging the tryptophobia eyes on that piece of artwork.
I feel like this is being taken out of context.
I miss the days when it was nonsensical Biden/Barack memes, and classy news stories about our president.
You should check out the movie ‘Booksmart’. He’s fantastic and absolutely hilarious, and the rest of the cast follows suit. One of my favorites of the year.
NEVER ENDING EARWORM!

The cut to the ecstatic crowd when Billy says “Guess what! I wore my cloggin shoes!”
Walton Goggins is gonna fuck around and win hisself an Emmy if he keeps this up. The boy good!
A heart wrenching moment in my life is when my daughter started watching and loving MRN after he had passed away. MRN was a huge source of stability and sanity in my childhood full of multiple divorces and abuse.
My favorite Judy Garland story:
I learned enough from him that I can love him in spite of his flaws. We all have bad days. :)
I couldn’t even watch the trailer for that without welling up. I’m glad people now fully realize what a saint we had in Fred Rogers.
My mom too. She definitely modeled her 70s look off of a mixture of Ali McGraw and Mary Tyler Moore in the 70s.
This came out when I was in high school. Everyone, and I mean everyone, had to go see it, mostly because our girlfriends demanded we go see it. Many of us also had to read the book (thankfully a quick, short read) because our girlfriends had read it and insisted that we read it too. I think that it was some sort of…
This is terrible, Tom. And hurtful. Every year, dozens of beatific young women die of Ali McGraw’s Disease and despite decades of research we are still no closer to a cure. And pieces like this that downplay the very real effects -- husbands feeling bad, husbands moping, husbands seeing a decline in their racquetball…
This was an outstanding essay that took a LOT of courage to write in my opinion. I appreciate your honesty and facing your trauma the way you did in it. I said it in my Tweet and I’ll say it again: This right here & Handlen’s essay (which I can’t find my reply on in the comments which frustrates me A LOT) both truly…
Hey all. Just wanted to drop in here and give a very sincere thank you to everyone who’s read the piece and everyone who’s commented below. I had to kind of talk myself into writing this, for a number of reasons, but I’m glad I did, and I’m deeply moved by the responses here—by those of you sharing your own…
