Or at least in your mind.

You are making my point valid, at least in my mind.

Yeah, we need some type of car check. I am sure it depends on the state/city of how bad people let their cars get.

Made me think of the “shooting brake” design. Kind of. Sort of. A little bit. Ish.

I’ve owned old and new cars.

Your MOTs are exactly what sprung to my mind. Yes, they might miss somethings, however the state of some of the vehicles that I have seen would make you rethink your statement. Driving is not cheap regardless, I wouldn’t mind an increase of tax for safety. The Gov’t should do studies to make sure it works though. We

Bald tires (usually just fronts), shot shocks, brakes, and ball joints are the top hazards I see on a daily bases.

My point is not nanny state. It is these people put innocent drivers at risk because they refuse to put their car in a safe condition.

*Two*

Brakes and tires are most important. Like you said, people don’t give to thoughts about them. Then they wonder why, when they hit that puddle, they ended wrapped around the tree.

Normal in Michigan.

I really think every state should have some type of car inspection for it to be legal on the road.

I’ll wait until a clamping, non magnet and non vent blocking, mount goes on sale for $10 or under. :)

Thanks for your opinion.

It’s not about outright power either. I also tried the base 2 series too. Still, even with track package, it is too soft. The steering is too light and not as direct. The suspension, is too floaty even in sports mode. While a decent motor that 4 CYL may be, my straight six is smoother and sounds better. Also, MPGs and

I would lOVE to drive an M2. I compare everything to the gold standard of the old 1 series. THAT is an enthusiast’s car. Stiff chassis, great engine selections, heavy/direct steering, and stiff suspension.
