Let Ron Perlman play the guy, if this gets to be a movie.

Saw a number of semi-exotic LHD cars in Tokyo - seems like people feel it’s a bit ‘exclusive’, much the same way some like RHD British cars.

Thanks.

I remember being stopped in the US when I lived there, the police checking for DUIs. They stopped everybody, so I didn’t think I was singled out. That was back in the eighties.

Better yet, spend the money necessary to make sure it’s strong enough to be taken out of the harbor, sunk and thus made into an excellent artificial reef & divers’ playground.

The SpaceX Tesla went far after being launched, just like an unpowered glider airplane can go far after being launched.

Indeed they are....

It doesn’t have to show up on the odometer: I rode my vintage motorcycle without instruments for decades, but the thousands of miles it went still count.

Not sure about the current distance by now, but as of August 2019 the SpaceX Tesla Roadster had traveled 766 million miles. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/billroberson/2019/08/21/starman-pilots-teslas-space-roadster-over-700-million-miles-as-it-completes-first-orbit-of-sun/?sh=f9f3c63246cc)

Really, if you need a manual and no cruise control in order merely to stay awake, you are too tired to drive. Get enough sleep before reaching for the car keys next time.

A friend of mine suggested that not believing in a god is a religion too, my counterargument being that by his logic we just got ourselves a new hobby: We don’t collects stamps.

Well, given that there are a lot of religious people on this planet, it did make sense to hire somebody who thinks like them. But imagine if we make interstellar contact, and the aliens turn out to adhere to one of Earth’s known religions...

Pedestrians in particular.

My first thought was that he’d better not file that insurance claim. But then, mankind’s general (and occasionally delusional) optimism is what got us to where we are now.

An actual picture may be to racy for a blog like this, but check out this car:

More likely fear of what you’re going to see, knowing at this point you can’t do a thing about it.

As is an eye for an eye. Utter stupidity....

Didn’t really care much for the Rover P6, until I saw it in Gattaca, realizing it was there with the Avanti and the DS for a reason. Nothing will beat the DS Chapron probably forever, but the P6 has grown on me.
