The Fisher XP-75, a true mongrel if there ever was one, was designed using parts from different existing aircraft.

Have another two transplants; the Hispano Aviación HA-1109 and the CASA 2.111, Spanish license built versions of the Me 109 and He 111 respectively. After WW2 German DB engines were no longer available, so both planes were powered - ironically - by R-R Merlin engines instead.

I think the blocking of Obama’s Supreme Court nominee was a pretty accurate example about who was unwilling to work with whom. During the last administration The Republican Party has been moving to the right and has become more an more unwilling to compromise, thanks to the influence of tea party activists.
