Motorcycles were at it too, witness the Ducati 750 Indiana:

Long hair is accepted if it doesn’t interfere with your duties. Way back they had hair nets for conscripts working with artillery. Probably still do.

Needs a Ghøstbüsters version.

Being seriously stalled in traffic for hours on end, like when evacuating town because of Hurricane Katrina.

Totally wrong approach by majority of commenters, as the money he stole isn’t the bank’s per se, but other people’s money it manages. If anyone thinks the 1.5M loss will be passed on to shareholders or management, then they probably also trust he’s going to build that wall.

The Stoye sidecar was mounted at the factory, and is the best I’ve ever ridden, probably due to the fact that it was built specifically for this MZ - and I suspect the motorcycle was built primarily for having a chair attached. I have a solo version to, as seen above, which handles very fine (for a 1970s bike).

Twostrokes are great. The white & blue one is my MZ sidecar bike, albeit with less power than a modern twostroke engine. I’ve tuned it a bit, so it’s probably up to 21 or 22 bhp by now.

I’m sure somebody in The Czech Republic or Slovakia already did that. Tatra V8 engines in good nick cost a mere $1,000, so even down there they can afford it. An acqauintance here in Denmark shoehorned a Toyota V6 in his Skoda sleeper , which he used to mess with fwd GTIs. 2" ground clearance when accellerating, he

Not just Americans do it, witness this Tatra engine in an East German AWO motorcycle. Its former engine was a BMW-derived 250 cc single.

Oh the irony.

In Japan they make small neutered fiberglass versions of the Tiger. Tried it, it was fun, but way too slow.

Bet you counted to more than ten before writing such a restrained answer. But thanks for doing it.

For more information, look it up in ‘The Encyclopedia Of Dangerous Australian Animals volume XIX R-T’.

The only two nice things about hippos is that they’re far away from most people (Africa is very large and most of it not densely populated), and that they’re under water most of the time, so you can’t see the ugly homicidal fuckers.

Most people now in their 60s like the car (at least here in Europe), because it was around and we could afford it. The Cooper tuning parts didn’t hurt either. Then there were a few who didn’t like it, like famous racer Stirling Moss (quoted from memory):

Agree. Another argument in favor of the TT, is that unlike mountaineering, it is a great spectator sport.

Counted in number of lives lost in relation to number of participants, climbing Mt. Everest is (to my surprise) more dangerous than the TT. Just sayin’....

To put things a bit into perspective, climbing Mt. Everest is still more dangerous than riding in the TT. Arguably the TT is one of the most dangerous and too often deadliest races held, if not the dealist. But the number deaths relative to the number of participants, trying to reach the peak of the highest mountain,

Will you also call your bank manager and complain?
