In aircraft accident investigations, the Word 'FUCK!' is reputedly the most common one heard on cockpit voice recorders.

For those unfamiliar with Husqvarne’s street bikes, the 175 cc twostroke ‘Silverpilen’ (Silver Arrow, 1955-65) was made to weigh less than 75 kg. Thus 16-year olds were allowed to ride it, and because a motorcycle under that weight was extempt from road tax, the investment had paid for itself in 10 years. The 200 cc…
Sure the Blinder looked so much more different than other similar aircraft. Wasn't a particularly good jet, though....
Wonderful car, even if secondary safety - what happens in a crash - was abysmal. Primary safety - what prevents a crash - was outstanding, though: Impossible to roll, even at top speed (except in reverse), and you’d never make any silly overtakings (passes?) - manly because you’d not making any passes at all.
Nothing is wrong with it, except the latest 400 cc version is overpriced and underpowered. Find a used SR500 for much less $$$ and use the balance for the few repairs that inevitably comes with a used bike.
The joke amongst pilots is that’if you need full power to taxi, the landing gear is up’. Guess nothing like that applies to drag ravers.
My regularly updated winning-the-lottery list (don’t want to waste time when the $$$ ticket comes in) does include four vintage cars and app. thirty-five motorcycles. I’ll fly on business class from now on too. The other 95% of the winnings go to friends, family and various good causes, because in the world I live…
The reworked Kawasakis used by the US Marine Corps seem to be holding up pretty well, without new engine blocks. 28 bhp is lower than the KLR 650’s original 42 bhp, but enough for keeping up with traffic.
?!??
Indeed. Years ago I actually saw one at the splendid aviation museum in Krakow, Poland. I really like the airplane, in part for its uniqueness, and in part for the absurdity of using a jet engine for this purpose. Evolutionary dead ends can be so interesting.
No it’s not.
Germany had eight jet aircraft and two rocket propelled ones in the air before WW2 put an end to it. Three of them (Ar 234, Me 163 & Me 262) reached operational status.
Where on earth did you hear that story? Anyway, flattering nickname or not, SAAB ‘Tunnan’ still held a world speed record for a while.
I know about the flower cars, but these were different. As in real pickups. In all fairness, they weren’t built by Cadillac, just sold through the authorized dealerships.
