I don’t know why people think that Musk has enough time to actually build this piece of shit and bring it to Thailand. They have already brought out four kids, there is little time to spare, but people want to fellate a billionaire with an asinine idea for some reason. I guess that’s better to them than giving credit…

I do not understand your skepticism. The story itself has much thinner choke points than the cave, and Musk was still able to insert himself into it.

I think it’s a bit of old white guy armchair quarterbacking here. “Why don’t they just build a little pod for the kids?” + the funding to try it. Of course the reports already stated that the divers themselves had a hard time through some of the narrow passages, but did Elon get all this info before his wheels were up…

As I understand it, it’s not even that wide. The divers have to remove their gear and push it ahead of them at the narrowest points. How he expects to construct a viable hard sided solution in 8 hours without accurate measurements is beyond me.

The introduction of the dotcom-entrepreneur-charlatan will make for an exciting break in the second act of this movie.
