“The NRF estimates that of that $3.6 billion, $1.2 billion will go toward children’s costumes while $1.7 billion will be spent on adult costumes. The remaining $0.7 billion is earmarked for pet costumes.”

I feel like, as it was with WandaVision, an assessment of how source-material-accurate it is is likely best discerned by folks who’ve seen (and, arguably to a degree, appreciated) the campy earnestness of the original show.
Here’s another positive one... and from RogerEbert.com no less. 3.5 stars out of 4!

Tapped out the fatphobic “ugly fat boy” joke. I know plenty of y’all have no problem with fatphobic jokes—”They’re not that bad!” “It wasn’t fatphobic!” “The joke is that the guy was fatphobic!”, etc.—but it’s mean-spirited, lazy punching down for a cheap laugh which we’ve been conditioned for decades to be OK with.…

Per Apple TV+’s home page, you get that free 3 months if you purchase an Apple device. Not if you already own one.
If you don’t do that, you get (what I think is the standard) 7 days free.

Nah. If you spent centuries colonizing (at one point) about a quarter of the planet, and violently so—it’s more than fair game to call it out. (He had a segue about “things to come out of Britain,” so it’s not like it came out of nowhere.)
It’s not racist to call out that a nation murder and bullied its way into…
Agreed. To that point: almost every episode, save for the end of the Party Thor ep and the final two of the season, absolutely work as their own standalone episodes, even with the season ending the way it is.
Folks. FOLKS. DeVito as Mario. Well, he’s too old now. But it shoulda been him in the ‘90s live-action film. Sigh.
Kevin Feige and his braintrust had conditioned everyone to cheer at the entrance of a sullen teenage tree-man playing a portable video game and only ever saying his own name, a sight that would’ve confounded anyone from any previous generation of cinema.

Oooh, Oscar is Duke Leto
And Zendaya is Chani

I just assume all episodes aren’t shown in in-show chronological order, unless there’s something that explicitly explains otherwise. So just imagine the “22 Short Films” ep happened before the “Bart the Fink” one. I mean, it’s been on 30+ years and the characters haven’t aged a day. If and when the series ends, I want…
That main image is a choice.
This was filmed, in part, in my hometown of Wenatchee, Washington. Ice-T was well-known for his “Cop Killer” song at the time, and I recall that the dad of a friend of mine was a cop who had to help guard him. He was a recipient of, um, department-issued T-shirts that, shall we say, were what you’d expect of coming…
Got a Wii U and play the hell outta that thing. I play two-player games with the kids, so (as I’m assuming Nintendo hoped would be a selling point, but never really capitalized on it) that they can watch the Gamepad screen and I can watch on the TV if I want to. We don’t play a lot of games that require using two…
I can’t tell if you actually missed the real point of why folks were upset at Cooper, or you do get the point and you don’t really care:
Calling anyone, even someone as vile as Donald Trump “obese” in the context Cooper did, was meant to use “obese” as an insult. It was fatphobic. It’s one of the last acceptable ways…
