I think this is one of the most underappreciated aspects of this buying decision. Most Jalop’s (in my experience only) don’t appreciate HOW much safer cars are getting with each passing year. A nice car from 2008 wouldn’t pass current crash safety standards, and would offer far fewer safety systems than a modern car.

There is a reason the hardcore environmentalists favor Thorium as a short term fuel source and fusion as a long-term one. They collectively use the fewest resources and require the least mining.  ‘Stored Energy’ is what we need, and fission or fusion sources are the best source of ‘stored energy’ on the planet.

As an owner of a 2015, I feel that every successive model has gotten WORSE looking.  This(^) version is the cleanest and most cohesive design in a LONG time.  I wish they’d calm down with the styling and make it simpler.
