Never gonna happen... the 7L motor rumor has been around for years. It’s just an internet pipe dream. Also, no more NA motors for the F-150 after 2020. It’s going to be all EcoBoost, all the time.
I’d argue that Tesla’s legal position can stem from existing ‘drive assistance’ systems such as traditional cruise control. Everyone knows that you cannot just turn on cruise control and expect the system to be 100% reliable. Humans are ultimately still responsible. Tesla will argue as much.
Notice I didn’t say ‘instead of’? I wasn’t implying we shouldn’t be deploying PV solar... but the even under best-case circumstances, NO ONE is projecting PV/Wind/Hydro to generate _most_ of our power needs anytime soon. We. Need. Something. Else.
Every day I commute to work. Every day I sit in some form of traffic on my way to work. Every day I glance around to see what other folks are doing in there cars, and when I do, I see a phone mounted to 75% of the windshields I glance at. Around Boston I’d say a HUGE majority of car-drivers have their phone mounted up…
This was so obvious it was painful... the whole POINT of that cool front-facing laser-grid face recognition system has ALWAYS been for touchless gesture control. You know why? Most big phones spend a LOT of time mounted to windshields... being able to control your phone from a distance in your car is going to be HUGE.…

As an engineer and a scientist I _LOVE_ the idea of fusion power. LIMITLESS energy! Very little radioactivity (though not-zero) and plenty of fuel! Such a cool idea and definitely worth of pursuit...

Alright, I’m gonna say that this multi-position tailgate is pretty cool. I totally dig the ‘load stop’ feature an the use as a big step. Both seem like legit-improvements to current designs.
