I just drove this car for the first time the other day... it was the launch edition with the Gold wheels. I have to say, it was freaking fantastic!!! Amazing steering feel, excellent shifts from a great transmission, and an overall sense of driver-enjoyment that's lacking from so many cars. You can really tell that

Hey Volvo... HELL. YES.

Oh, Hai! We'll meet soon I'm sure...

Next Gen Raptor?!?

Yeah, I've been trying for years... and it basically comes down to the fact that she _can_ drive stick, but is scared to do so on MY car. Thus she won't drive it. I've had heard drive all my cars at least once and she did fine (OK, a few stalls) but no big issues. The reality of it is that if she needs to get my

I think they got this right... I would never consider the 2-door (have family, need access) but I _am_ torn about what transmission to buy:

NIIIICE. That car is on my short-list for new car. Which engine did you get? Which model? How do you like it? Any option you wished you had purchased?

That is an interesting question, and it largely depends on three things (sorry, I'm in a list kind of mood I guess):

I'm 6'4"...

I'm pretty sure they are referencing the 'North Pole Star' which is a nod to their Swedish location. Personally I quite like the blue, which seems nicer in the broad-daylight pictures I have seen. Let's not lose sight of the 350hp wagon which these crazy Swedes have birthed into the world!

Volvo V60 Polestar - 350hp, AWD, Wagon. WIN.

I'd LOVE to buy a Raptor, but even used they are going for $45k+ and I really want some of the features on the '12's and newer (front LSD mainly). New Raptor's cost damn-near $60k now, which would be fine, except for my wife, kids, house, food, etc... So I wait.

Actually, I want a mini 'Raptor Fighter' ZR2 edition more than the broke-a$$-Jalop-edition. This platform would make a great starting point for a good pre-runner package. Toss on some long-travel King shocks, skid plates, and the new V6 from the Silverado (maybe even the 5.3v8?) and call it good!

Forever the most awesome.

Sorry Kids, but as soon as I can, I'm getting a Durango R/T. Just for me. My wife already has a Highlander... I'm just sick of being crammed into small cars, and I've had plenty of them that supposedly have 'lots of space'. I'm 6'4" and I want a vehicle with space for myself and for my friends (who are tall as

Step 1) - Wait for FR-S to be greatly discounted

I was all about this car until someone pointed out that you could by a lightly-used BMW 550i for $45k... and I'm sorry but the TTV8 in the BMW is going to crush the LS3 in the SS every time. Please understand, I LOVE the SS, but its a whole lotta money for a 415hp sedan that is imported, but isn't German. If it were

I think there are two things at play here... engine design and wing design.

To be fair, a piston engine is NOT actually more efficient... if you look at specific-fuel-consumption, or power output/fuel consumed, turbine engines are always more efficient. The A-1 just happened to have an engine that was the 'right size' for the speeds required for the mission.

Actually I'd argue just the opposite... the frame deformed in a _controlled_ many when the rear suspension was MASSIVELY overloaded.
