I do the exact same thing. Last year I at least made it halfway through the season before caving and watching after all. This year I'll probably just watch from the start because there's very little else on right now.

Me too, which made me laugh at the scene. Helps that I don't care about the Greyjoys at all.

I feel like they're also missing the fact that glasses are really annoying to wear all the time. I take mine off whenever I can get away with things being kind of blurry. I don't know why people who don't need glasses would want to do that to themselves.

I'm impressed by those of you who were able to read this in a single weekend. It took me nearly a month to get through.

The Wallflower's "One Headlight" is permanently linked with the memory of driving around in my '86 Dodge Aries, waiting for the heat to kick in.

Good point about proposing shortly after her uncle fell off the wagon. But Scarlet did decide to sleep with Gunnar the day he found out his brother had died so maybe inappropriate romantic advances is kind of the theme of their relationship?

*sigh* I used to hold up Amanda Bynes as the alternate, non-crazy path Lindsay Lohan could've gone down. But now…

How do you not follow him on Twitter? All your replies in this thread have convinced me that your JGL crush > my JGL crush.

There is definitely jackassery.

Because if I have to feel conflicted about my feelings for JGL, everyone else does too!

He's doing a pretty good job becoming resistible now that he's created a Twitter account for "DonJon" and has been having Twitter conversations with himself for a few days.

I realize this it's 5 months later but, I totally didn't get the chemistry between them either and was similarly surprised by her feelings for him at the end. It's not just you!

I liked LMS. I did not like SLP. I get how they're similar, but I just didn't buy into any of the characters in SLP. Maybe it's just because I really hate football…

I had made the assumption that Teddy knew Rayna was pregnant with Deacon's child before they got married. That it had been some kind of arrangement to prevent a scandal for her. But perhaps he didn't know, and had the paternity test done out of suspicion (I'm assuming the test says that Teddy isn't her father, rather

Agreed on both counts.

I think my reaction was part "What is this youngen doing here?"  She's 23 and the rest of them are in their 30's. I feel like it disrupted the tone of the show being about the decisions you make as you get older, and turned it into a young girl shrieking about puppies and kittens and rainbows.

"I'm where I belong. With Winston. And a badger."
