Are the changes to Gmail responsible for why it's slowed down soooo much lately? Sending emails is taking forever. Opening new emails, pop3 to Outlook, etc is also dragging. Anybody else or is this just my account?

@XSteveMurphy: DragDeGo (not supported anymore, I believe) and its successor DragIt do the same thing. They aren't working with the changes now unfortunately.

So that's why I keep seeing the little Flash symbol on my Gmail in Firefox. It's the one that usually shows up over a video, etc, to let you know you're about to enable something. I thought I'd screwed my profile up somehow in Firefox.

@jeffk: If you use Firefox 3, you can have mailto automatically use Gmail. Google it and you'll get a ton of hits.

I installed this and can't get it to stop running at startup. I disabled the Ad-Aware Tray Application, but somewhere [AAWService.exe] and [AAWTray.exe] keep managing to start. I'm probably going to uninstall this as it's more persistent/resistant to attempts to stop it and uses more system resources than any

I use Youmail and tried out the free transcription service a couple of months ago. The transcription you received via text was far closer than what I usually received. When I used it, unless someone spoke clearly and slowly, it was a nonsensical text message. I guess your mileage may vary based on who is leaving

I love YouMail for the different greetings and its "ditched call" feature. It's also sweet that you can download the voicemails (I use this for the cute ones my young nieces leave me).

I'm going to use this, not for replies, but for standard emails I need to send out. I send messages and attachment to courts and trustees on a regular basis that usually say the same thing except with a change of the client it applies to. I was going to create a .txt document I could just copy and paste, but this

Vote: Super@Brad N.: I have the same problem quite often. I just keep trying. It didn't work last night or this morning, but it randomly worked this time. Who knows why...

@jbarr: I completely agree with your last statement. This could definitely be abused. I'm an attorney, and my first thought was what my clients could do with this to "better" their situation. But I guess the same could be said of most technology anymore.

It seems to work quite well on my good, old, simple, single monitor laptop. I like the number of wallpaper options. I'll have to play with some of the program options later.

@ engstewart: Thanks for the clarification! That makes a lot more sense.

Ignoring the obvious attention-grabbing 1 terabyte, the limitations on the file types and quantities per file type seem odd. Are you supposed to fill it up with 815 gigabytes of pictures?? Aside from some professional photographers or camera addicts, that seems incredibly unlikely. It seems more like the

I just tried YouMail thanks to these suggestions. That is just an awesome service. I love how you can assign different greetings to each person. I'm an attorney so I need a professional greeting for my clients, but my greetings for friends now don't need to sound so uptight. Thanks!

@whereisian: It indexes more than MS products. The comment from "sirfice" quoting from the MS site is just MS using this as an opportunity to advertise Outlook.

The "feature" I would like to see is a "do not automatically add contacts" option. I email a number of people only once or twice. Clearing these contacts periodically can be a pain in the butt. I can add contacts myself if I really want them in my contacts list.

Thanks for the updates, Gina. Will the original Better Gmail be updated as well? Or I guess it might already work? I've not tried FF3 yet, so I don't know if it will function or not. I just prefer the options in the original. Thanks again!

For those of us without a Windows Mobile phone, BitPim also has the ability to extract call history. Granted, your phone has to be compatible with BitPim, but it's compatible with a pretty large number of phones. And it's also freeware, which we all love. I don't think you can extract directly into Outlook (please
