Sam Jackson, B.D. Wong. They all look alike to me.

It was the perfect role for him. He is the new Kurt Russell. The perfect doofus hero.

Lost World was terrible. Jurassic Park III was the underrated sequel.

The problem is this particular 'escapist fantasy' is disgusting.

On a separate note- totally agree about Luke.

Fair enough. I do agree with her general point, she just chose an odd target. Plus her reputation as someone very difficult to work with (both men and women have been very critical of her which indicates to me it isn't a 'strong woman' issue) didn't help. I feel like a lot of people were waiting for her to say

See, I just think that is a bad example. The whole point of 'Knocked Up' was that she wasn't interested in him (except when she was drunk at a club with beer goggles) until he got his act together and became an adult. And the ONLY reason she so much as gave him any chance at all was because he was the father of her

Interesting point (and a good one). And perhaps that 'smart' girls can't be 'pretty'. Granted it was a while ago I went to High School but always felt this was something (smart can't be pretty) that movies and TV indoctrinated people into believing was the case but I never remember any of my fellow male classmates

I went on the IMDB board and as usual. BIG mistake. Seriously creepy perverts talking about Alex. Having said that, making Manny out to be a stud and Alex to be a pariah is nutty on behalf's of the writers and defies any sort of reality.

Actually other than her immediate family everyone seems to have a very good relationship and loving with Alex. Her Uncles, Jay and Gloria have always seemed to have much more of a connection with her than her parents or siblings.
As for Manny, have you been paying attention the entire series run? He has always hit on

My girlfriend just informed me that we are doing a Modern Family marathon this weekend so I will let you know if I switch to your side afterwards.

I don't really disagree but again, Alex is pretty rough on Haley as well with the relentless 'stupid' jokes. And I really don't remember Hailey sleeping around all that much.

I agree about Gloria, and really all the rest outside the immediate family (siblings and parents). Mitch, Cam and Jay are all very nice to her also (can't even remember Manny ever really interacting with her). I totally agree about Claire but I think you are missing Haley's sweeter moments with Alex and let's be

You are right she is constantly putting her down but it always strikes me that it is just in a sibling relationship kind of way. In fact I would argue that the only immediate family member who is actually nice to Alex is Haley who is always there to counsel and support her when she really needs it.

I am a fan of the show but I do have some suggestions for MF-
1) Enough with the Colombian jokes. Or at least show any Colombian relative who isn't either shrieking, a pervert or a criminal
2) They need to figure out what to do with the Luke character. He could have been gone the entire season and no one would have

Hailey is a much nicer person than Claire she it comes down to it. Hailey never actually tries to truly screw over people for her own petty selfish reasons.

Pretty much the only part of the whole 'Armando' story line that landed for me.

Northerners conveniently forget that he won the Democratic primaries in both Michigan and Maryland the day after he was shot. That wasn't just Irish Americans.

Only going to read if one of the chapters has the title 'Fucking Magnets, how do they work?"

By the way, Randy Newman does a much better job of calling out Northern white hypocrisy regarding race
