I, for one, applaud the Kremlin’s promotion of independent video games. Maybe next they’ll start actually reviewing them.

forecast: all the VR devs laid off from that industry’s bubble popping will get hired up by the Kremlin and NSA to build increasingly realistic propaganda, but will just half ass it and end up using stock Unity assets that we’ll be able to spot.
Nah, Gamestop knows that no one goes in there to buy games anymore.
The entire point of this rental subscription plan is to get people to come back in the store repeatedly so that they can be tempted by their constantly refreshing pokemon plushie selection.
When I left Enterprise Rent-a-Car a few years ago, they were still using early-90s era PCs running DOS and printing on dot-matrix printers. It’s unbelievable how slow businesses are to evolve when it comes to technology.
I lol’d at this because, while I know you meant Point Of Sale, I thought piece of shit. And everything gamestop does is shitty lol.
a common thread in these recent stories seems to be how poorly HR departments handle claims and really only serve the company’s best interests rather than its employees. Hopefully these shitty incidents will spark some change.
That HR response is beyond disturbing. Like they live on another planet.
It’s a high profile game and this was clearly engineered to make people buy more loot boxes. People saw through an incredibly obvious ploy and got upset. This is annoying in a F2p mobile game, and almost insulting in a full $60 title.
Imagine spending $60 for Street Fighter and having to pay or grind just to play as Ryu and Ken. It’s the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I don’t have a gambling problem, I do have a problem with f2p mechanics in a game which costs money. I’m not an idiot, these things make money so companies will put them in, I get that. I personally won’t buy games that do, and regard the people that buy them and ruin gaming by doing so, as dicks. Not sure what’s hard…
I feel like he would be a better fit in a Soul Calibur game... JUST SAYIN’ BANDAI NAMCO.
I’m glad he’ll be in a game that has a good fighting system.
I can’t wait to be disappointed when I finish Battlefront II’s singleplayer in 2 hours.
I was already committed to not buying it because the gameplay felt as bland as the first one. But this microtransaction nonsense makes me wish there was a way for me to less not buy it.
Remember, this Friday, to support your local casino and buy Battlefront II!
How does one “complete” multiplayer? Also your own limited scope in the preferences of characters you’ll play does not match those of others.
You could just say you hate fun.
Ugh, the world is shitty enough without people like you sticking up for the rich making themselves richer at the expense of the little guy just trying to enjoy a healthy bit of escapism.
What law requires a company maximize shareholder value over anything else? Admittedly yes, that’s how publicly traded companies work (not all companies are publicly traded, so are they under to obligation to make money?), but that’s arguably just the system in place. Not by law.
When you research and employ extreme psychological methods in order to try and squeeze out more money, the type of thing that goes behind making a funny and appealing commercial, but is actually crafted to go after certain types of people...that’s one way it becomes a moral issue. Some of the smaller and overpriced…
