I have to wonder who came up with the wonderful idea that they could attract young people to pachinko by both killing their video game business and then branding their machines with characters who stand to only exist as pachinko branding as a consequence of the first action.

I like how you shut goldenegg down completely and tell them that they’re deluded, without even giving a single hint as to why. You can’t just say something like that without justifying it, and expect people to agree with you. What’s even the point? You accomplish nothing that way. Why not start a discussion about it?

I never watch light night TV, but Colbert has been killing it. I may have to start tuning in. This was great.

From what I could tell, it doesn’t happen often. For this particular bug to occur you have to:

All chats you mean. Also, why would you even want to type in a chat with that many people? It’s not like anyone is going to see it with all of the people spamming random shit.

The Youtube stream chat is terrible? NEWS

This is what happens when adults leave the room. A live chat is a terrible place to have a meaningful (or even a nice) discussion. Messages always get lost to other ones. So, trolls just use it to troll. This will almost always be the case.

What gives you the idea that Steam actually gives a shit? They’ve had terrible customer service from day one. They have said they would improve it many times.

Next time, refund within the fourteen days, and if you want to try to get it working when you have more time, just repurchase and try again. Nothing says you can’t be refunded for the same game twice, AFAIK.

6th months is not enough time? Many other companies have been able to revamp their CS department in less.

On one hand I agree with you, but on another hand I feel like any time you buy an early access game you need to be willing to accept that what you’re getting at the time of purchase is just what it’s going to be, and that the money is less a purchase of a good or service as much as it is a donation. If you buy an

All the millions they make and they cant hire a company to do the damn customer service for them? wtf are they doing anyway? since they are not developing games anymore...

The article reminds me of what Fils-Aime also said about the still current way of playing video games, a console connected to a tv. It is a shame that the GamePad is underpowered, and the 3DS’ potential as an extra controller is wasted because it could’ve made for a rather interesting gaming experience. I guess

For the last few years it seems Nintendo has been going forth with consoles and not capitalizing on any of its successes, almost as if they’re unaware of when they do something right.

I’m looking at you Wii Sports.

Whats most amazing in these images is the fact that a good number of big hollywood productions don’t have the same quality when it comes to props and wardrobe.

Nintendo’s a funny example. I joked you should add a caveat because I AM loyal to Nintendo, for purely emotional, nostalgic reasons. (That and a preference to that style of gaming, which I won’t call casual but I will call FUN.) Though I’m waiting for the first big price drop for a Wii U, when they really start to

I think that captures the difference perfectly. I like my Apple products and love what Google is doing as well, but switching to Android now would require a huge change in a lot of services and devices.

I think you’re on to something here that I didn’t get a chance to address in the article: the whole “ecosystem” play that every tech company is going for these days.

It’s not just being loyal to a brand anymore. If you want any of your devices to work with each other or to realize all of hte functionality they offer, you kind of have to stick with one brand.

A new meme has emerged! I’ve been waiting for this day!
