To be fair, when I worked a dealership in the early aughts, we would only use KBB and NADA as jumping off points (back when they were still books) but would delve deep into the local market for real value.  Being in rural Texas, even slightly beat up pick-up trucks were worth more than most average sports cars.

So much this.  I’m a Texan, licensed gun owner and I don’t trust most people with guns.
