I think he’s commenting on the fact that 183 is a North/South route and that there is a stretch that is labeled as East/West. Most of the time if the route is North/South it is still North/South even if it meanders East/West for a bit.

Miatas don’t have Mazdas. Mustangs don’t have Fords. El Caminos don’t have Chevys. It’s not an “Alpha Wolf”; it is the name “Wolf” from the company “Alpha.”
