Excellent use of the word “slapdash”
Cosmetically, the lift and wheel/tire combo are a fantastic improvement from stock. Obviously they’ll help with wheeling but in my opinion, they make the vehicle look more like something it should have looking like from the factory.

When I lived in the UK, they had chevrons painted on the road that marked—if you’re driving the speed limit—the safe distance you need between you and the driver in front of you. Most people seemed to obey the markings and they most definitely helped out with congestion.
Not arguing with you at all but it’s been proven that (generally speaking) driving too slow is just about as dangerous as driving too fast. I learned this in a defensive driving course I took to get out of a speeding ticket.
That is pretty much spot on for Texas traffic code.
