Are you sure they're not basing those judgements on TV, movies, and porn? Those have been around a lot longer than realistic graphics in games has, plus they depict actual women, not a digital approximation of one.

Correlation is a tricky thing. Does the porn consumption lead to infidelity and relationship dissatisfaction, or does the relationship dissatisfaction lead to porn consumption and infidelity? I’d argue it’s more often the latter.
