Oh I just commented this too! You are so right. When the show started certain SALTY GEMS (PEARL) led us to believe he might be deadbeat, but he is fast becoming one of my favourite characters on that show.

Steven Universe is the cartoon I wish I had as a kid, although I'm glad I can enjoy it as an adult now. It's so charming and so pretty and the characters all have amazingly in depth personalities and backgrounds.
