Back when it was renewed for season nine, it was rumored that it would be the last season and for a shorter season. RIP Arrowverse.

Not surprised, they’ve been running on fumes for awhile now, but still kind of sad to see it finally go. 

Her calm, commanding presence as a crew member was an inspiration for young girls as myself... Cannot overstate how much of an impact she had for many of all ages. Does this leave only Shatner, Takei and Koenig from TOS? 

May she and take the second star on the right and go straight on until morning.

Ms. Nichols, thank you for your amazing contribution to so many lives.  The inspiration you brought has not ended, and continues to reverberate even, and especially, during harder times.

I imagine the Spirit movie will have ads plastered all over town around Halloween but the second that's over it will completely evaporate from the public's consciousness as if it were never there.

I am really underwhelmed by the STO design for the F. It looks like a minimally altered version of the E, tweaked a bit, but not in any particularly interesting ways. If we do see the F, I want a new design for it.

My grandma’s previous phone (she currently has a Pixel 4a) was an iPhone X that she got talked into by some douchebag Verizon sales rep when she went there without me, and if I had a nickel for every time she complained that her phone wasn’t ringing when people called anymore and the problem…

I liked Predators, but it was so keen to shallow-copy the 1987 film’s iconography it made itself forgettable. Predator 2 wasn’t great, but there was no mistaking it - it was a sequel as sequels should be IMO.

Prey looks amazing, and if they handle the indigenous culture stuff well, it should be a great ride. (I enjoyed Predators, which is the sequel everyone seems to forget about, but the rest…?)

I am going to miss the interactions between Scott and his young daughter. His being a good dad despite his circumstances was a welcome plot line (and I hope the young girl who played his daughter gets ALL the parts, should she wish them). I just hope they maintain that good relationship; I could do without another…

I have a small candle lit for Prey: this series is due a decent sequel. Of course the inevitable backlash came along from people railing about the protagonist (people who apparently have never watched a movie starring a teenager but hey ho). It’s a pity, if it IS any good, it won’t be seen in the cinema.
