Very real. I usually make the hot chocolate first with about 1 1/2 cups milk and 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips. Once that is ready, I add about 1/2 to 3/4 cups red wine for two servings.

Is this real? And if so, please elaborate.

I’m intrigued. What are the recommended proportions? Do you pour the wine into the already heated hot chocolate?

Red wine in hot chocolate (preferably made with dark chocolate) is a much better boozy winter beverage than eggnog.

If it’s not wine, it’s no good. That’s my rule of thumb.

I prefer a spiced dark rum like Kraken.
