Real World Tip: if a law enforcement official ever calls you up and suggests that you should “just come by the station” so “we can talk about this” and “get it worked out” without a lawyer present,  politely decline.

I would have a bit of empathy for the Sheriff’s statements about simply wanting to avoid potential trouble if I believed for one second he’d have reacted similarly to a sign saying the same about Obama. We all know there’s fucking way he’d have raised so much as an eyebrow.
