To those mentioning higher prices in the 16 bit era and earlier, context is important:

Admittedly those are from individual store catalogues and not standard. If memory serves, Sears, Toys R Us, and other higher end retailers had generally higher prices, and games that had special hardware like MMX2-3 or Yoshi’s Island were more expensive as well, but were generally exceptions.

I was working in video game retail when CD based games became a thing and the price point going down to $49.99 was a selling point. The idea was that cartridges were what made games cost so much.

Ah the good old days. Still remember rolling into Sears to pickup a copy of SSF2 on Genesis for a breezy 79.99.

Yeah, but look at how cheap the consoles were! I remember saving up my allowance to get the N64.

Just like the good ol days!

That covers savory snacks, candies, chocolate, and ice cream. Basically, the stuff you probably crave on a regular basis, but can convince yourself you don’t necessarily need.

I thought for sure this was going to be a slideshow.

Basically anything not conservative is “woke” now.

They knew what they were doing. Showing it once, then taking it down (following a cease and desist) is a nice bit of free publicity for TIFF.

It says right on the trailer that they think it falls under “fair use”

I’m sorry, but if “ur” hoping to be considered professional, don’t use txt-speek when discussing “ur” movie. This whole thing makes me feel like the movie only premiered to be taken down, to get articles like this written, and inspire some kind of stupid “Snyder Cut” reaction.

“I had $3,000 in cash in my $200k car” <- guy who’s trying to engage in a very esoteric form of money laundering.

She’s had every Bond and every Doctor Who.

Oh boy. You just smoke-signaled some of the internet’s scoldiest scolds.

But like a lot of shows that got unfairly pulled, they did Blackface literally for the joke that it was thoughtless and insensitive and wrong.   Its at least not as bad as Community having what may be its best episode pulled because of a Drow joke

They did black-face and some feel that Tina Fey hasn’t apologized adequately for it. I think the episode has been removed from streaming.

30 Rock had “glaring faults”? There are probably a few nits you can pick here and there, but I recently re-watched a few early seasons, and it’s still one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen.

It actually cost $1.2B to build. It was budgeted at $1.4B, but came in $200M under budget.
